Here at Mayo Medical Centre in Castlebar we are passionate about preserving the health of the human skeleton.

Who we are
We are a group of orthopaedic surgeons dedicated to providing the best patient care.
In addition to being highly trained in general orthopaedics, the consultants here at Mayo Medical Centre each have different areas of expertise of the musculoskeletal system. We believe that our surgeons should specialise in a specific area as this has been proven scientifically to reduce complications, enhance the quality of the surgical work and facilitate a more rapid recovery by the patient.
We have consultants specializing in foot, ankle, hip, knee, and arthroscopic surgery.
Our consultants strive to return patients to a fully functional recovery as quick as possible and give them strength and movement for life. We believe in earning the trust of our patients, not only by providing the highest quality care but by treating each patient as we would like to be treated ourselves. Mayo Medical Centre was opened in September 2014 is located on Lawn Road in Castlebar.
As well as having Orthopaedic surgeons we also have, physiotherapists, DXA bone density/Osteoporosis scans and body composition analysis scans which are in particular demand with endurance athletes like cyclists and runners. All Med Healthcare also run an orthotics clinic here usually once a week. We are always happy to see new patients come through our doors.
Although we are a private clinic it is important for non insured and international patients to note that with the Rapid Recovery program, hip and knee replacement can be surprisingly affordable. Please contact us and we will be pleased to tailor a quotation for you.
